I know, right? It was actually the first thing I read Christmas morning because my dad woke me up way too early so we could start on dinner and I had to sit around waiting for everyone else to get up, and I think he thought I was crazy because I was just sitting in front of the computer grinning and laughing.

Okay, so I don't think I've ever borne witness to This American Life... when it comes to NPR I'm much more familiar with A Prairie Home Companion, but I get the idea. THIS WAS FABULOUS.

Oh, I read your Homestuck fic after all, for shits and giggles. Since it was only five pages and sitting around on my hard drive and all. I mostly had NO IDEA WTF WAS GOING ON but it was entertaining! ^_^

You should listen to This American Life! But the story does give a good idea of how it works. Broad, lofty thesis statement, close-up personal story that interprets it in an unexpected way (it works on so many different levels!)

Shhh, no one's supposed to know which fandom I wrote in yet. And don't feel bad about not knowing what was going on. I have a feeling it barely made sense even to people who know what's going on, plus Liberties Were Taken. At best I only have a vague idea of what's going on in the source material most of the time, but that's one of its charms.
