Hiatus Over!

I am still alive! Despite the best efforts of London traffic and pedestrians and the Tube and scaffolding and everything else in London that was out to get me. It's always hard to pick up again after a few days of not writing, and I don't think I'll get around to transferring the London leg of the trip out of my notebook until I get back. London (like a lot of other cities I've been in) is more of a work-in-progress with about half a dozen editors that secretly want to be writers themselves, who make little changes here and there

So it really is as complicated and confusing as fiction has led me to believe? Awesome! I've always had the impression that London is this big ancient city full of secrets and winding roads, the kind of place that's made for exploring. In related news, I am really enjoying your posts.

Also, before I forget: I know you've played Hotel Dusk, and if you weren't aware, the European localization of its sequel (called Last Window) just came out recently. It's not getting a North American release, so if you want it, you should buy it while you're there.

I think it might be! I'm pretty sure I spent a significant part of my time there on the Tube, though, so maybe it turns out that it makes sense if you walk all over the place on foot. (I still managed to get kind of lost when I was doing that, though. I made a search for the Clockmakers Museum which somehow turned my sense of direction completely upside-down. Then, when I found it, it didn't seem to have an entrance.)

Gah! I wish I'd known this when I was in London. I don't think I could handle the French version. I had enough trouble with parts of Hotel Dusk when it was in English. (-;

It's actually all the same version, five languages on one cartridge. The DS automatically chooses your preferred language.

Ah, that's actually rather bright (so, once I know what's going on, I can replay it in French ^_^). Hmm... I wonder if I can locate a store that'd even sell it. There seems to be a dearth of practical stores here, especially of the electronic variety (I think the closest I've come is a store that was made up entirely of camera lenses. I can't even find a grocery store. Probably because everyone buys things in open-air markets. I've come across so many here.)
