VD is entirely overrated & used as an excuse to jack the price up on...well, every-effing-thing. Even flowers for godssake are twice as expensive but they don't live twice as long! It's ridiculous. 
I'm married so while I "do" have a so-called Valentine we will be spending it at home...like every other day. Him playing WoW & me binge watching some series on Netflix. Now THAT  is a day well spent if you ask me!!

Valentine's Day just adds so much pressure all around, I just hate it.
Hang in there, it is really just another day, hyped up so people will spend money, single people will feel bad and married people will fight.

Gosh I sound so cynical!

I was with a friend today who's husband died a few months ago, she was struggling, yikes! It was hard to find an appropriate poem for our girlfriend art day, I went with one on kindness.

I agree that it is too fucking commericalized like that goes for so many other holidays. And most Valentine's Day I was single or had just broken up with someone ( haha). This is the first year in a lonnnng time I can actually celebrate it in the sense that it has some meaning aside from all the commercialism. To me, though, you should celebrate loving your significant other all days out of the year and not just put it all up in one symbolic 'day' of it.

Actually, most V-Days where I had someone were spent in bed or on a couch. Cuddles all around.

That's really what I'm missing, in general and especially on that day.
