Either Marvel is nuts enough to go ahead and go the 'Secret Avengers' route with Norman Osborn as Iron Patriot, or it's taken in the context that the military is trying to make their own Iron Man armor and Star sues them for patent infringement (aka ARMOR WARS!)

Didn't even know they started shooting Iron Man 3 already.

I knew they were making 3 before The Avengers came out.

More likely they'll go with a variant of the Armor Wars, where a government operative is given armor based on Stark's technology. Remember Arsenal? Given Rhodes kept the War Machine armor at the end of 2 and there's obviously plenty of people in the film version who want that tech, that seems more likely.
