Alot has been going on recently...I spent a few days with my friend Felicia (who is pregnant) I helped her around the house and with AJ her first child. Kat walked by and we ran out to talk to her only to find out that the cops we saw the first night I was there were because of her now ex-boi. Well she wants me to be her room mate and I am thinking

Fortunately I'm enough out of the loop not to judge anyone as of late.

Reading this I would say that you should go. Six months away from everything (and free room and board I presume) will help to clear your head. I don't think that is enough time to get so attached to up there that you would want to stay permanent.
