It was a weekend for violence. So I put on Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2 and rejoiced in watching Uma Thurman master some serious cartoon violence. You go, Uma! Just what I needed. (Preferred vol. 1 to vol. 2, though. Mostly because of the 88 gang or whatever they were called, and that oldies song being mangled to almost unrecognisability by a Japanese girl ( Read more... )

Awwww. Sometimes you just need to hack and slash your way through work angst!

I am trying to distract myself from my own work angst via porn. Not sure if it's working, but, you know.

Awww. Work angst sucks. Hope you find a way through it soon. But in the mean time, at least you get to watch some porn. ;) Which, yes, I've also been doing. The urge to procrastinate, it is mighty. But I totally had a minor breakthrough an hour ago, so I'm slightly less blargh now. And now I'm watching Adele singing circles around everybody else at yesterday's Grammy awards. *_*

She was brilliant, and is gorgeous, and I want someone to write me Dave/Adele/Rolling in the Deep fic.

And I so don't watch porn! but I might write it, ahem.

The cinema in your mind is often the best there is

I love how the entire world is in awe of Adele, and she's just this warm and funny person who stays true to herself. It's so, so fascinating.

Completely un-related to your post...

Me and Dave were looking at hotels in New York yesterday. The first one that came up in our search on bookings.com? The very strange place we stayed in on the Bowery!

Bless it!

Oh god. I actually hold that place in fond regards - it was so very, very strange, it somehow fit right in with that whole experience. (I'd never, ever stay there again, though)

When are you going to NYC? Or were you just daydreaming?

I'd been telling Dave about it for ages and he didn't quite believe me until he saw it!

We're thinking about going to NYC in a couple of years, when we've saved enough money and we were just having a nose at prices and stuff.

I'd never seen it before, for some strange reason that I can't quite figure out (I love Tarantino, I love Uma Thurman, this should have been on my to-watch list ages ago). And then I sort of fell in love with it.
