I'm angry. Still, and it's this pent up anger that is slowly killing me. I've been angry most of my life and I have no idea how to deal with it. It's my vice. I would gladly trade it for something else.

So, floofy thing that I read in Yoga Journal magazine once that has always stuck with me: how would it hurt you to give the anger up? Is indulging the anger making you happier than living without it would be? Is being angry hurting you more than it is hurting the target of your anger? If the answers are it wouldn't, no, and yes, then why hold onto it? Easier said than done, I know, but it's really helped me to step back and look at various situations from that perspective. It doesn't deny the validity of reasons for being angry in the first place, but refuses the power that anger has over you.
