There was a case shortly after 9/11 of a guy being killed by the other passengers because he had gotten a little too loud. Your friend of a friend is lucky that all he got was some beefhead redneck yelling at him.

I'm still amused at how in American airports, you aren't asked for ID when you board the plane. At least I haven't been asked, but always in Canadian airports.

Although in Toronto they always insist on swabbing my hat.
