Connecting Susan and River is interesting. (Once my brain stops thinking stupid incestuous things; the internet has corrupted me, I apologize.) I like the last line a lot because it reminds me of the "He loves them all" thing about the Doctor loving all his companions equally. You have the first companion and the last (most recent) here, and the TARDIS loving them both equally. It not only puts me in a nice thinky place about the two characters, but also is nicely written. Succinct and story-like.

No, no. You're not alone. I think this popped into my brain partly as a method of brain-cleaning. If the Doctor isn't going to keep things clean and above board on all levels (not to mention equal among companions and companion-types), surely the TARDIS would? Hopefully.
Thank you re: the comment about succinctness. I find, after initially thinking that drabbles were kind of pointless, that they can be a very satisfying method of fulfilling a sudden-onset writing jones.
