Yeah, I thought it looked interesting, too! And it tried I suppose, but it couldn't overcome the cheesy dialogue, bad acting, horrible soundtrack, completely unbelievable plot "twists," and the fact that they make you watch the same scene from eleventy different characters' points of view.
I still don't have Cirque tickets. It hit a point this month where I can pay my electric bill or go see Cirque. Electric bill won. =D
I haven't seen Beowulf yet, but 30 Days of Night was a little scary for me. haha I thought the previews for Vantage Point made it look like it had potential, but it's a lie. Cheesy dialogue, bad acting, way too predictable, horrible soundtrack, completely unbelievable plot "twists," and they make you watch the same scene from eleventy different characters' points of view.
SPOILER ALERT!!!evilangel_libMarch 10 2008, 19:55:27 UTC
Yeah, I found that it was just soooooooooo predictable! (From the first minute that you met *Jack* it was completely obvious that he was a bad guy using the main guy.) And there were so many unbelievable parts to it (like I'm supposed to believe that these guys who just bombed the plaza killing dozens wouldn't just run over a little girl in the middle of the road. And OMG THE CHEESE! When they started playing the soap opera Spanish music I couldn't control the giggles!
The two people at the end of our row were on their cell phones talking & playing games the whole movie and not a single person told them to shush. The whole theater was laughing & making jokes & totally not into the movie. You would have wanted to kill us all. haha
