When we remodeled 3 years ago our b#&*ch of a director wouldn't let us hire a moving team. We loaded each stack onto the carts, disassembled the stack, took it downstairs, rebuilt it, moved the cart down and shelved the books. We did this over and over for 3 days (all the time they would let us be closed). And we had no elevator we had to roll the carts up a steep hill and to the front of the building. Now, the average age of the staff is around 45-50 (I was the youngest at 44)and let's face it - not the most active job - so we were dying from this!!!! I sympathize with you 110%!!! But it's closer to being done, right???
We were thinking of being open for the 14th, but it looks like the 18th with our Grand Opening will be when we open.
Still can't be in other building and we were supposed to start moving things on Wednesday/Thursday in there. We might not even get permission by Monday to go yet. No empty carts to get the rest of those shelves unloaded, running low on boxes for all the random supplies and stuff (we had over 100) books being dropped off all the time.
So. Yeah. Fuuun. I need to get in 20 hours a week, and until we get to unload at the new spot, there is fewer and fewer things for me to do to keep 'busy'
