Whining and Dining

Robert stood facing Alan, their bodies no more than two feet apart. He was staring deep into Alan’s eyes, his gaze only breaking momentarily when his own shirt was pulled over his head. They drew closer, slowly, not able to stand the pull between them any longer. They embraced, lips smashing together, hands exploring everywhere freely. Somehow between the living room and the bed, their clothes had all vanished, so there was skin touching skin as Alan laid down on top of him, pressing kisses along his neck, hand creeping down to make him arch up into it. “I love you,” Alan whispered into his ear, moving to give him the hungriest kiss possible before Robert had a chance to answer or contemplate how those three words made him pause when he should be saying them in return.

Alan reached over for a condom and lube, Robert watching the motions with a sense of detachment. He watched Alan roll on the condom, then his view was blocked by soft curls when Alan leaned forward to place a few wet kisses on his chest.

Robert didn’t even feel the kisses or the tongue tracing patterns by his navel. All he could see was Alan’s hands as he fumbled with the lubricant. An uneasy feeling started to settle over him and he squirmed, trying to get Alan’s attention, but only succeeding in encouraging the tongue to dip into his bellybutton. “Alan.” His harsh whisper went unheard. Push him away, push him away, he told himself, before it is too late. He wasn’t ready for this. But his limbs felt dead, paralyzed, and all he could do was watch as Alan removed his mouth and gently pushed apart his legs to settle in between.

As Alan leaned forward to kiss his cheek, he said, “You will always be mine.” But it wasn’t his voice, nor his face, when he pulled back. All Robert could see was Trent, the only boy he had ever let fuck him. True panic set in and he tried to push away, but his hands only got as far as resting on Trent’s shoulders, gripping tightly. “This will only hurt for a moment. I love you.”

“Wait!” He mouthed a yell, then screamed.

Robert woke up on the floor in a tangle of sheets as he had literally twisted out of Trent’s grasp and the nightmare’s. He laid there, blinking in a daze in the predawn light that was creeping into the room and trying to calm his racing heart, because surely it would explode if it kept up its current pace. He turned and gripped the bed, using the frame to pull himself to his feet, then he ran into the bathroom, retching into the toilet. He splashed cold water on his face afterwards, wondering what was in that wine that Hugh had given him. He watched the water swirl down the drain, not wanting to look at his reflection. He stumbled back to bed, feeling weak, then laid awake for three more hours until his alarm told him it was time to get up and back to the grind.
