So, I booked the table for BICS 2009 about a week ago. This was close work, as Shane who runs it got back to me pretty quickly to say that we'd got the second to last table available - phew! Now there is just the scramble to make sure that we've got something ready to sell in time - and luckily for me I'm not in charge this time!

Great that you managed to book a table! I had no idea it was so full booked already...
Too bad if you can't make it, though. :/
At first I thought I would not be able to afford going to England in October as there'll be a lot of travelling that month, but as I found flight tickets that cost less than £5 (!!!) both ways, that all changed. Will probably just be staying for one day in Birmingham, though.

The thing is, it's not so much the getting there that's gonna cost me, it's the fact that I know I'm going to overspend on a combination of beer and comics when I'm there. It would be great if I can make it though - be good to say hi again.

Oh I see... but how about just taking a limited amout of money to spend - then you won't be able to blow too much on those nice stuff. ;)
