I remember my first celebrity crush was Davy Jones. We used to watch the Monkees and All in the Family after school when I first started kindergarten in Richmond, IN. He will be missed ;__;

Wow, I saw your post, and I was like, "WTF???? Davy Jones? For real???!!!" That's hard to believe. Especially him -- of that foursome, he seemed the most.... youthful, and healthy, somehow. He would have been the last one I expected to go. You just never know. *shakes head* Makes me think back over all my days listening to (and dancing and singing along with) my Monkees albums....

I'm in shock, considering how sick Peter's been over the past few years. Miserable, and in shock.

Jeez, I am out of the loop -- I didn't know he had been so sick. From a quick look at his wikipedia article, it sounds like he has a very similar cancer to what my brother had -- except he has insurance, and good doctors, and they are being very vigilant with his and treating it adequately. My brother had no insurance and was relegated to ER's and catch-as-catch-can treatment, so he didn't stand a chance from day one. Peter sounds like he is holding his own fairly well.
