Fic Year in Review

Jan 02, 2010 10:41

I think this is the first time I've done one of these. And I'm not cornerofmadness to have a billion a thousand over a hundred stories...at least, I don't think. But let's see. Drabbles are included in the general list.

Fullmetal Alchemist

Juxtaposition(crossover, of sorts, with Calvin & Hobbes Edward & Alphonse, Calvin & Hobbes

Eye of the Beholder Edward ( Read more... )

saiyuki, x-files, fic, xmen movieverse, fandom, fma fic, the dresden files, ats, btvs

Wow. You wrote way more Buffyverse than I thought. Off to read in case I missed something. (Maybe someday you'' write more All Disheveled Wandering Stars. That would makeme ecstatic.)

Yeah, that's what I thought, too, about the Buffyverse stuff - I wrote that much?

Disheveled...I need to find that and reread it.

All Disheveled Wandering Stars by evil-little-dog

Ypu left that story at such a thrilling point.

*jawdrop* I knew you'd been productive in 2009, but that is one huge list. Yay, hope you'll keep it up this year! ;)

(Did I already say Happy New Year? Ah well, better twice than not)

Wow, you are very prolific! Congratulations. Fics of yours I've especially enjoyed include but are not limited to: Playing to an Audience of One (shudder, but also strangely enough hee and awww), Icy Hard (ha!), Dream a Little Dream and, despite my shipping tendencies, Lights Will Guide, which I thought was excellent, and a good example of a dark!fic which stays just IC enough to creep you the hell out.

Now I really ought to read some more of your Buffyverse stuff.

I really liked Playing to an Audience of One because I think it says a lot about each character in the fic.

Lights Will Guide - I think I've mentioned that I used (not be required to but did it anyway) give counseling to girls who were sexually abused. When I see Roy/Underage!Ed, it really, really burns me up. This was a response to those stories.

Yes, agree about Audience of One.

Don't want to get into a big shippy debate as I'm sure you don't, but just to say that yes, it's an elephant in the room to say the very least, and I can quite understand why RL experience would make you very much want to tell that story. I know even some people like me who like the Roy/Ed pairing in general are deeply uncomfortable writing Roy/Underage!Ed for that very reason, and generally take it a few years post-manga - I know enemy and I both think along these lines and have had the discussion. So yis, not to get the discussion too involved here but just wanted to let you know in passing that I very much enjoyed the fic and that some of us on the slashy side of the force do agree with you on that one.

and that some of us on the slashy side of the force do agree with you on that one.

Thanks.

I'm not sure how the other Roy/Ed story in the works will be taken, either (I think Lights made people uncomfortable, which is exactly what I wanted it to do). The new story is softer, in ways, but I'm sure that I will hear about it (or not and by silence, infer that people are Not Happy).

You really are the two headed author.

I know. It's a sad, scary state of affairs.
