Compared to yesterday and the outing to the pumpkin patch (pictures will follow. Eventually). Today, though, my sisters, Mom, and I were invited to Nephew Radar's house

Hmm other than the severe water damage to the one window, that doesn't look bad (other than having your neighbors staring in all your windows because there's 6 feet of space between houses).
Though I do think moving in with Mom so she has help is not a bad idea but you already know that.
Yup, Radar's a decent cook as long as you don't mind nothing but meats.
Yeah, I've eyed a lot of houses on that street and think, "They're all neat, why do they have to be piled on top of each other...?" The other thing is the front of the house faces a major artery road here in Eville. So there's no stopping of traffic at any point in the day.
Yeah, moving in with Mom is probably what will happen...
and that is why I don't live in Jackson, not even on mansion row. the traffic thing will get old. I did that in Columbus. It sometimes took me a half hour to go half a mile.
Well, if you wanted your pink bathroom fixtures back, just like you had at the Lodge and then some, you're in luck with that house. Otherwise, I'd say the gravel backyard is a deal-buster. Add in the shoulder-to-shoulder neighbors and busy road and it's a complete nope. Unless, of course, you're not going to have dogs, which I don't see ever happening. Moving in with Mom (join the club, eh?) is the practical thing to do. She's needing you more and more, and it's probably time that she not live alone anymore.
Of course, if your sisters get any more disabled, you're going to end up running a nursing home for everybody, not just Mom. It's not fair for them to carp about you hurrying to ditch the hot cobbler (blackberry, yum!) You weren't going to do them any good with your hands full anyway.
The sisters are already making plans to move to a retirement village (not together!), so they're more or less taken care of. Mom insists she's living at her house until she'd carried out of it feet first, so yeah, me moving in there wouldn't be too bad of an idea. Except there's no real yard for the dogs either...but close to the park so I can walk them there.

Yeah, believe me, I'd rather be somewhere than in town, but with Mom and the dogs...
