Isn't it great! If you are over in the next few months you'll have to bring your camera and come see them both together.

Ha ha! Wow! I didn't realise just how similar they are! They would make a fantastic pair! Pye doesn't even look bigger than her really!

Hope she behaves herself! [I also hope that mane grows because it's in an awkward stange right now, where it just tends to stick up!]

I've always looked at photo and thought yeah, they look the same colour, but it wasn't until they turned back ends on eachother I saw their markings are not far off the same. Pye's head obviously is black whereas Lizzie's is getting whiter. Pye has longer white markings on her back legs and Lizzie longer on her front legs. Oh and at the moment Pye has more feather too :D

yeah, at a quick look though I doubt anyone passing your field would notice if you took Lizzie out and left Pye there!

Pye also has a happy, but blank look on her face a lot! I would have called her Dory if I knew what she was like when I first got her!

Oh, if we made them a driving pair Pye would HAVE to go on the left and Lizzie on the right, that way they would look most similar to people as we drove past. Obviously that would mean that they would not work in that set and would would best with Lizzie on the left and Pye on the right where they just look like 2 roan ponies.

Super easy - Lizzie is the pintaloosa and Pye is the "plain" blue roan tobiano :D

Its any genetic freak's idea of an interesting time at the moment seeing these 2 together. Then there's Tari with her Rabicano (sp?) colouring too...

It was fun to see just how alike they are!

Lizzie did have more fuzzy fetlocks, but I trimmed them down to about half a couple of weeks ago. Lizzie does have a whiter face, Pye's face is very much black. Years ago when I was a kid I had a very grey/blue roan pony who's head was pure black and didn't have a white hair on it, yet his body was full of white flecks.
