Thank you so much sweetie, I was really nervous about this story just because I really loved the original and I didn't want to mess that one up by doing badly with this. Which is why it might be a long time before I ever get around to writing a sequel to this too. But... there's a small sliver of hope...

I'm really sad to see this end. But I love the point where you ended it. Although I woulnd't be against you continuing with a sequel at some point. *g* Even though I love V I'd even read another fic where you have her dead, because I like Lucas that much. ;) Great work. Great chapter. Awesome fic!

Aw yay! I'm so glad you really do seem to like Lucas, I feel weirdly... protective or something of him. He's the only real original character I've written. So I'm very glad to hear you could handle a fic with just him and Logan. My only problem about continuing with this story would be that I would have to come up with something different from "Living Without Her", or come up with a believable reason why Veronica is alive... But maybe one day, cause I really do love these characters.

Well, I'm sort of tearing up at this part, Evie, so well done!

The high Logan and Veronica with "Fear and Loathing" is just funny to imagine, and I can't help but love how well LV could get to something less awkward and more meaningful after a few weeks of pain.

The end is a great combination of that bittersweet and the hopeful that you wanted and I'd love to see more of this later.

I'm so glad that part seemed believable, I was really nervous about people thinking it was way too OOC, but I was watching "Fear and Loathing" while I was working on the fic and I just got that image of the two of them stuck in my head and it demanded to be written...
And I'm so happy the ending worked for you too :)

(also, I totally thought of you when I was posting this because my itunes did that creepily appropriate thing again... very weird.)

I think you ended this perfectly. I really didn't want to read about Veronica actually dying, so I agree that you ended it as happily as you could. I loved the scene where L & V were high. Too funny :-) And it got me all choked up that they were able to forgive each other and reconnect. And I also loved at the party where Lucas was proud to introduce Logan as his dad and that he was happy to see his parents together.

I know it's extremely unrealistic of me, but I'm going to pretend that the last round of chemo worked and that she'll be in remission and slowly get better. That way, she and Logan can have more time together and watch their son grow up. *nods* Yes, that's what I imagine for what happens next :-)

Yeah, I couldn't write Veronica actually dying. I thought about it a bit, but I'm just way too much of a sucker for the at least moderately happy endings. And I'm happy to hear that the high scene worked for you, I had to have a lighthearted moment in amongst all that angst, and a way for the two of them to connect again. And that last scene was definitely my way of giving Lucas a happier ending than he got in the original story. Really glad you liked it all :)

Hey, that's the reason I told people to choose what they wanted to happen next. If that's what works for you, so be it :)
