Job?

Anybody looking for a job, or know of anybody looking for a job?  We have a position here open at NMS Engineering, looking for somebody entry level with knowledge of unix administration and perl scripting.  Basically anybody out of a computer science program, that is willing to learn new stuff and SMRT.  Probably like 50-60k starting, send me an ( Read more... )

I still have nightmares of mapping rm to rm -f, which is not a good idea when you have the tendency to use a lot of *'s and accidentally hit the spacebar while typing.

yeah that's just a bad idea in general! I've accidently deleted many items without having that mapping tho :X

Actually they were looking for somebody with much more NMS experience, but the req has been open for too long that they're pretty much willing to settle for a lower level candidate, you should send me your resume if you're interested tho, might be able to negotiate something with them. Also there is an NMS architect position open, it's basically our lead position, if you have a lot of NMS experience you might be able to get into that one too. Apps like Netcool, Opsware NAS, Ciscoworks, Tivoli Netview, etc. Look at the job reqs at http://www.multimax.com. Both those positions are listed for San Diego but the engineer position they prefer to be in Eagan MN, and the architect position is negotiable too, it also used to be in MN.

Getting a security clearance independant of a company is possible I think, but you need to pay for it out of pocket, and I think it's around 10-20k for the processing fees or something.
