Fifth Reading

[Ion finally ate something, but while walking back to his house, he suddenly starts coughing uncontrollably, to the point that he starts to cough up blood.

Once the fit stops, he says nothing, but his perpetually serene expression might actually look a little off.]

[Ran hears the coughing and pads in immediately.]

[See Ran. See Ran worried. That was not a good-sounding cough, loud and deep like that.]

That's not fine . . .

What's wrong?

[Scarlet's less than concerned but so long as she doesn't have to deal with it, nothing is distracting her from the various mechanical parts littered all over the kitchen table that's she's tinkering with.]

Your poor diseased son is hobbling past the kitchen, coughing all the way to his room.]

[Awwww Scarlet's just filled with...motherly love. But she just gives him a glance to make sure he's not coughing anything up on the carpet and goes back to her tinkering]

Ion closes the door to his room, and hacks up half a lung before he passes out on the bed.]

[Ed is reminded of his Teacher back home at someone coughing blood.]

[Ion is either ignoring Ed or genuinely is unable to stop coughing.

Regardlessly, Ed gets no response from him.]
