[Britta & Miranda - GIRL BAND!]

Okay, so the guy teaching them how to play the instruments was a little on the cheesy side with the whole 'punk rock, I swear a lot and used to do all the drugs' attitude, but it turned out he actually knew what he was doing. At least, he'd communicated it all pretty clearly to Kate and even though she was pretty far from an expert, she was ( Read more... )

This was a prospect that Miranda had grown quite excited about over the past few months. Twas such an eccentric and wild notion that it filled her heart with glee. She could imagine the look on Prospera's face if she were to find out that her daughter has decided to become a musician. Such a fate is nothing like that which her mother had hoped for her and she cannot help but wonder if that is why she is all the more excited about it.

The jukebox has given her some help and the bookshelf others and she would like to an instrument that could be of service only she cannot decide which one. There are books on basses and drums and pianos in her hands as she stops next to Kate, a smile wide on her face. "Oh that be ever so pretty. I like it."

"Have I missed anything?" Britta asks as she walks in, glancing between them. "God, Kate, you're getting good at that." For her part, she's been working at it with Joe's help and she thinks she's improving, but that's really up for debate. She still feels like she's incredibly basic at it, but it's surprisingly rewarding. This was, she thinks, a really good idea for them all.

Kate grinned up at the two of them, shaking her head at Britta's question. She was getting better, although she didn't think she was that great yet. There was still a lot of work for her to do. It wasn't as easy as dressing up in a stupid costume and waving a plastic sword around.

"He's a pretty good teacher," she answered. "How's it going with you guys?"

"Quite well, though I am afraid that I am not nearly as musically sound as you seem to be," Miranda answers with a nod of her head, turning to look at Britta. Surely the other girl is also much further along in her studies than Miranda is, something that has come from being able to ask for help without fear. It is quite strange to ask for help rather than demanding it be given.

"And how do you fare, Britta?"
