Well, she said I didn't have to.

But can you imagine the verbal beating I'd get if I didn't?

But I know and if Alana and Victor know, that means it's only a matter of time until Aunt Nan knows, and if Aunt Nan knows she's going to tell my parents and all of my aunts and uncles, and after that god only know how long until this makes the round at work and the rest of the family

Telling people myself is a lot easier.

The shock wears off in a couple of days. Then there's other shit, but that depends on the families.

Unless they're Catholic and they happen to already know you and hate you, you're better off than me.

You'll just have Alana to deal with. Since you were shagging one of her friends. (Which is both hilarious and badarse. Well done.)

Well I'm pretty sure they're not Catholic, and they don't know me but it looks like some of them hate me because I got her up the spout.

I can handle Alana. (Thank you, sir.)

They'll get over it.

Pregnant girls are weepy and clingy. Might not be yet but it'll show up eventually, take advantage of it because you're more sensitive than I am and all, but opportunities that make it that easy to look like the best bloke she's ever been with are rare.

Sometimes I am genuinely glad you don't speak much to Derek, you know that?

And rarely is such a thing self evident for men who aren't, well, me.

But it's a matter of

Hm. She's an eleven-two out of a three and an eight. Arithmantic forecast of an eighteen-nine, well. Interesting.

She'll be able to handle herself, but any girl would be lucky to have you, you know that.

I still don't believe you can figure that shite out with numbers.

I'm not going to claim divination, but everything boils down to numbers and from that there IS room to derive.

It's why it matters so much to pick the right word, because each word means something entirely different in the numerical context of each sentence and a different word changes it entirely as well.

Language comes down to numbers and you know it so stop making me lecture.
