Sick doggie

Buddy is sick again. For the past few days he's been eating nothing all day and not really pooping during the day either. Then, just before we go to bed, he'll eat. When we get up in the morning, there's one or two huge piles (or puddles) of poop just outside the kitchen in the dining room

i remember right after we got jack he did the not eating/not pooping thing and when he did poo it was UBER GROSS. just big piles of messy MESS that got matted in his hair and everything. turns out it was because he was getting into the cat food and it was too rich for him.

mind you, jack was just a puppy and much smaller than buddy so i don't know. that's all i can think of though. :(

Awww, poor Jack. I don't think that's the case for Buddy, though. I think he's remained fat by eating not only his food but also the leftover cat food every night after we go to bed since forever. But I took the cat food out of his reach last night just in case.

Le sigh. We'll have to wait and see, and then possibly take him to the vet (which we can't afford because they cost a fucking fortune!!!) if he doesn't improve over the next few days.

I'm just worried that it's not because he's sick, that it's because he's old and is having trouble controlling his bowels. In that case, he won't get better and he might have to be put down. :(
