And here I thought I was the only one. I hated, maybe I still do hate my parents for... never really acknowledging me. I did the best I could in school, but they never noticed. I just wanted to be accepted by them. ...Still haven't heard a single word of praise from them to this day.

Mine's kinda the opposite.....my father left me in the vault thinking I'd be safe. But I had to leave because the people inside turned on me.

.....also that sounds a lot like the hatred ghouls get and I'll punch anyone in the face if they're like that.

Because my father left and the vault was kinda of brainwashed by the Overseer. That was our vaults experiment I found out. Give the Overseer unlimited power. We were told that we were born in the vault and we would die in the vault. That the outside world was uninhabitable. And we owed our lives to the Overseer.

So when my dad left they killed his assistant and tried to kill me because they thought I was involved. The only reason I managed to escape was because I was best friends with the overseers daughter.

Ah, my genetics are completely different from a humans, even though I look exactly like one, and I've got powers as a result. Mutants in my world are called 'evers', because a chemical called Evergreen gets into our systems and mutates us. [She abruptly goes silent, cause why did she say that last part?]

That is such a bullshit reason to throw you out of the house! And trust me, I've heard all kinds of reasons. What kind of powers do you have, anyway? If they aren't that dangerous I'm going to get even more irritated than I am now. Nobody should ever abandon family like that.
