Twenty-Fifth Hacking

[April could have easily ignored the rumbling if she wanted to, it wasn't even noticeable after a while to her, but curiosity always had a habit of taking over her and so she decides to go and ~investigate ( Read more... )

april is being weird again, *john, *elizabeth, *elizabeθ, why so confusing mayfield?, this seems suspicious

[[Theta approaches her right off the bat. Theta has had her memories wiped, so she doesn't recognise the redhead at all, but she smiles awkwardly and waits for her to sit up from her pavement listening. Weird-looking or not, if Theta could kneel, that would have been something she would have done.]]

[WHOOPS. Ohgod what to do, what to do...] L-look, it's okay! The electricity in the air isn't hurting you, is it? It's safe, you don't need to worry...

I've seen what electricity does...

It's only dangerous if you screw around with it and you don't know what you're doing. As long as you can control it, it's perfectly safe. [It's a good thing April is a nice person, or she might have brought up that there are electrical impulses inside the body. orz]

[[Yeah, Theta's had a problem with 'helpful' people like that before.]]

That...perhaps that's possible for people with your ability... [[Looking around, paranoid now.]]

[April shakes her head at that.] I can still get electrocuted. When I first started using my powers, I tried using too much of it without any control and I ended up hurting myself. It's only dangerous if it's not being controlled.

But no normal person could control electricity...

Well, I'm, uh, not human, which is why I can do it...

[[Changing the subject is good.]]

You're not human? Then...what are you?

An evers, which, um, I guess is basically a mutant...

ergaleomancer March 16 2011, 15:59:42 UTC
...Scientifically created?

evers_hacker March 16 2011, 16:11:47 UTC
[April blinks, before shaking her head.] Nope, I was naturally born like this!

ergaleomancer March 16 2011, 16:25:28 UTC
A natural mutation?

Reply

evers_hacker March 16 2011, 16:27:25 UTC
Kinda... the mutation is a result of this chemical in that's in the air back home becoming a part of my system.

That's... Well. I don't want to make you feel like a science project, but that is fascinating. And I take it electricity has become the domain of the 'evers', then?

[[Because surely no NORMAL people could use it...]]
