I hate it when toasters decide they want to burn your toast instead of pop it up so you can eat it.

I was really hungry as well.

I have my toaster set to very low so it always needs to go twice.

But I rarely use it because I think toasters are the devil's implements. so I use the grill.

I have to agree with you. Toasters are definitely the devils implements, I would rather use the grill and monitor how my bread is toasting... Plus you can make Cheese on Toast :D

I like using the grill but the only problem is that I then have nothing to blame if burning occurs.

Burned toast is actually the best. With loads of buttery goodness on it, it's entirely edible.
