Transuranic, heavy elements may not be used where there is life.

My family have buggered off to Somerset for a week, leaving me in charge of the house and the cats. Awesome, right? Well, not if you've just watched three days solid of Sapphire and Steel, effectively transforming the most innocuous household object into a potential source of pure terror. Will my pillow turn into a murderous, frenzied swan and eat ( Read more... )

I heart Donna to no end, and feel even worse for the Doctor now, sigh.

As for the land of BSG, 'inner' Baltar = a cad.

I loved that they finally explained why the Doctor sometimes meddles and sometimes doesn't. In all the 40+ years of Doctor Who we've never had an explanation for it until now. Makes me feel even more sorry for him, though.

Inner Baltar's appearance causing Regular Baltar to say "Oh my giddy aunt!" = absolute highlight of episode.

I know! I was so excited to hear the reason finally. And guh, Pompeii was like Gallifrey all over again. So sad.

Hahaha, man Baltar has some great quotes. He never bores me.

Hah! Told you so with Sapphire & Steel! It's awesome terror TV, isn't? :D I couldn't even tell which story of them freaked me out the most, as they all had their evil bits. Nasty!

I can't say much about the current BSG-episodes except for that they're having me glued to the screen so far and that they're tense as ever. And that the ensemble is absolutely glorious and a joy to watch. I'm going to miss all the characters once the show is over, that's for sure...

On the other hand, I remain to be sold on "Doctor Who" this year. To me seems like it's back into its half-arsed series two-mode again. *sigh* And while everyone and their dog begins to discover his love for Donna, I find her more and more painful to watch. I might be proved wrong later on... but so far it looks like this is not going to be my favourite Who-season. *more sigh*

I was sceptical about Tate as well, but she's been surprisingly good so far. The first episode was a bit mediocre but the other two were all kinds of awesome.

BSG season 4 is just...well, it's just BSG. The Ties That Bind was fucking aces, though and got my pulse racing after the rather standard previous two episodes. Hopefully we'll get into some new territory soon.

And Happy 21st!
