The woe of exams and the joy of Pla

What a strange day. The kind of day where everything around you is strangely dislocated and surreal, and surely that isn't helped by getting your AS Level exam module results back. I'm very pleased with mine, however many people were seriously fucked over on their English Literature. Extremely intelligent people who'd been getting straight A's in ( Read more... )

I'm in love with Plastic Tree's "Sink"--one of my favorite songs ever!! But I can't find another song by them that has quite that amount of impact. The only one that even comes close is "Snowflower", which is alright, and I didn't like "May Day" at all. I dunno, maybe I'm not hearing the right stuff? A band I recently found that I adore is La'cryma Christi, and although I've had a song by them that I've loved for over two years I didn't know the song was by them. How pitiful is that??

Hats off to your awesomely good grades! Yay! And... I love Evangelion but it definitely is such a weird series. Be prepared for even more mucho bizarreness ahead O_o

Thanks for your kind words about my grades - much appreciated! I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of Evangelion very much, EOE looks set to be a blast.

I agree, 'Sink' is awesome, one of Pla's best, but I admit they are a very hard band to get into. It took me almost a year to really get them, but it's really worth the effort. Songs I recommend are: 'chiriyuku bokura', 'slide', 'Cream', 'gerbera', 'planetarium', 'tremolo' and 'tsumetai hikari'. Yeah, I do tend to get a bit carried away! I've heard of La'cryma Christi but have yet to check them out. I must remember to do so soon!

I'm totally for giving them all the time they need, they're obviously a good band if a L'Arc fan such as yourself loves them so much :) I'm just now barely semi-getting into Dir en Grey, who I haven't liked at all for over a year...

Thanks so much for the song suggestions, I will try those out! I put their single collection on my wish list at yesasia.com, but after hearing more and more of P.Tree hopefully I will be able to move it into my cart :)

For La'cryma Christi, I've thoroughly enjoyed just about every song I've gotten thus far, but my favorites are "Lime Rain", "Eien", and "Mirai Koro". They're just... wow ^_____^
