"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

We're getting a new PC as the old one is really very, very old and keeps going all blue screen of death at every opportunity. I am not sad, even though it's going to mean quite a few tedious hours of file-transferring and programme-installing, which is fun for absolutely no one but the most hardcore of nerds.

Helping me forget about all this ( Read more... )

This seems like a fun meme, except I think I would have a hard time choosing for some of these. :)

It's less of a meme, more like a mammoth undertaking. Like reading War and Peace or something!

Also, I reckon you'd love Press Gang. Don't ask me why, I just do, especially if you enjoy Steven Moffat's writing.

Wait, do you still have the same Dell we watched FMA on like 6/7 years ago?

Oh my god I just realised FMA first aired 7 years ago. In my head that was still a recent series with modern animation and effects. I feel so very old.

I'm wanting to start Mad Men currently.

I've also got a recent taste for westerns is Deadwood a recommended show then? I think I was put off at first as I didn't think I could take lovejoy seriously, he reminds me a bit of british MacGuyver.

We have the exact same bloody one, yeah! Or, er, did as the case is now.

7 years ago, it's absolute insane. And now the (way better) remake/new adaptation series is coming to an end, too!

Mad Men wasn't quite my cuppa - actually, if you want to take the first season off my hands for nothing then you're welcome to it, it needs a good home.

Deadwood is absolutely incredible, yes. It's not massively Westerny, i.e. full of gunfights and Native Americans and whatnot, but it's astonishingly good - imagine if Shakespeare wrote a Western, right down to the dialogue, that's what it's like. If you click on my "tv: deadwood" tag there's a lot more of me rhapsodising about it. Lovejoy is actually the best part of it, he's amazing in it.
