I watched the Truman Show last night. It was my first time seeing the movie, and I found it to be excellent and the idea brilliant. Jim Carrey did an amazing job in the movie. Glad you liked the movie. It's a good one. I always love it when the "goofy" guys do more series type roles. Like Adam Sandler in Spanglish.

This is a great movie.. I agree it's a similar kinda theme to Eternal Sunshine. I studied it in year 12 and there are so many ways of looking at it. I like your idea of Truman getting out of his "bubble". Can't believe you'd never seen it before!

oh cool! What class did you study this movie in; and did you study it with any literature?

It was for English. For the HSC (year 12 exams) we had a theme of "Telling the Truth" and we had to select our own text type that revolved around that theme, so I chose the Truman Show. I think we might have used Hamlet and Rosentrantz and Guildenstern (sp?!) are Dead for that theme too.. can't remember, it was so long ago!!
