Okay, I read this, even though I have totally never seen The L Word. But I loved it anyway. The interaction between Shane and Alice is just adorable, and I really dig all the layers in there -- friendship, sex, family, and a complicated history. Even not knowing the characters, you writing gets that across well. And then Logan! Oh, god, Logan! Wonderful. ♥ I love the idea of Logan suddenly having a family and not really knowing how to deal with it, and the way you blend that bafflement with affection despite himself. ♥ I really like this universe, and am just wondering if you've written more in it. Have you?

This universe is, um, complicated to say the least and, yes, there is more - most of the oneshots have to go up as the fic gets posted (what's going in West Hollywood while the other guys are handling things in Neptune, a few backstories, etc.) and are either done or mostly done. The fic itself is going to start being posted when I finish Lines but I happily get to post the pre-series Lester family, Lynn-centric oneshot when it gets back from the beta so you'll see that the next few days, *g*

I love the idea of Logan suddenly having a family and not really knowing how to deal with it, and the way you blend that bafflement with affection despite himself.I think this is my favorite cracked idea ever, yo, because it's so insane but so much fun to write even if it's at times pretty, um, emotionally brutal - because Shane is so completely fucked up on her own but still the one most likely to break you out of jail with a nail file and Alice is the greatest friend ever and has her own

I think that's one of the reasons now that I've been introduce to Alice and Shane I can really see it happening, they're almost perfect for one another... Not because of what was on the show, but because of what Leisha and Kate did in the background that solidified just how well they knew one another.

if Logan is hurting as bad as she is and she sees that, it'll motivate her, too, to keep that familiar connection alive and force her to really work her way through things not only for her sake, but for Logan's, too.And yes some more because, uh, YES, that's what I'm trying to show when I'm writing them together. You can't just have Shane open up and deal because she can't do that, she's just too damaged and closed down for it but with this sort of echo of everything she's been through, and now she can help him the way no one helped her
