Dave is dressed like what he is, today, which is an oversized young man doing his very best to overcome what nature gave him and look like a lawyer rather than a hit man. He even has a briefcase!

Meg does not have a briefcase. (She has a backpack, though. For what it's worth.)

She also has a clear view of the door, and as Dave is hard to miss, he should see a young woman with fairly distinctive red hair, waving at him from a table by the window.

It only takes Dave a second to spot her; then he lifts his hand, in an answering greeting, and comes over. He leans his briefcase up against the chair before he sits down.

He has, in fact, prepared an ice breaker.

"Looks like a nice cafe - you recommend anything in particular?"

"I hope you didn't have any trouble finding it.

"And um, the hot chocolate is what I come here for, and everything they bake is pretty amazing.

"And their coffee was good the last time I had it."

If hot chocolate is just too whimsical.
