Ugh I want to go too. I've never been to the north of China, so sadly cannot advise on how costly it would be, only the South, which was never more than an overnight train to Hong Kong. Time-consuming-wise, I'm almost certain there would be direct flights so if you went that route, it should take a few hours to get from one to the other.

Frankly I don't think an overnight train would cut it. Just going from Nanning to Guangzhou, which are the capitals of two side by side states took... well, the afternoon and the night. But those were relatively old train routes. The last time I was in China, which was ~6-7 years ago (woe), the fast trains were about 3x the speed of those old ones. But even then, the distance is considerable.
Okay, but actually: Current + Natural hair: Straight, black, currently shoulder-length slightly layered How I usually wear it: Ponytail, bun, or loose Hair-Washing: When I remember and have time, usually 2x a week. Legit that's it. I don't even have to brush my hair every day, smoothing it down achieves 99.9% the same effect. Go-to style for dress up: What is dress up. Usually a bun. Have you dyed your hair: Never Haircut regrets: None. I lopped off 30cm of my hair this year and didn't think about it again. That's all the fucks I give. Unattainable hair goal: I have none. I like my hair the way it is.
lol, I just googled and the fastest train is 18 hours. It appears I will be conquering my phobia of airports.

i kind of want bright color-colors, but i can't do that because i'm an Annoying Designer and i couldn't have hair a color that couldn't match with any clothes, so. sounds like quite the duality of man dilemma. i'm keeping you in my thoughts.
