I'm finally caught up on Downton Abbey, having watched episodes 2 and 3 today. And I am NOT okay with anything going on in Anna's storyline right now. I didn't think anything could bother me more than deaths of Sybil and Matthew--congratulations, this does. I get sympathetic trauma the way some people get sympathetic stomach pains. I can't imagine ( Read more... )

I keep meaning to try Downton Abbey but some of the storylines scare me. I'm not sure if I want to get emotionally invested in something that painful.

Oh, I love that version of Cinderella! It played on PBS years ago when I was little and my mom always had an issue with fairytales so it was the first one I was allowed to see so it's special to me (I didn't get to see any of the Disney fairytales until a couple years ago now that I'm an adult, hehe).

Yeah, they just introduced subject matter I'm super, super sensitive about. You might want to hold off.

Oh, that was your first fairytale experience on TV? How sweet! No wonder it's so special to you. :D

Ugh, I'm sorry! I hate when shows do that. :/ I definitely plan to wait until the series is over to see how it turns out. My mom just started watching it, though (she's on season one) so I'll ask her how it goes when she gets that far.

Yes! Before that I'd only read a few of them at my grandparent's so it was so fun seeing it come to life. :D

Yeah, that's a good idea. I oftentimes wait until after a family member watched something to see what they thought and if they think I'd like it before I watch something. :)

I've been wanting to see that Cinderella -- I have the soundtrack and like it a lot. Thanks for the review!

People told me what happened to Anna so I have not watched this season.
I am very upset that the writers would bring that subject into the show, as a survivor I can't watch that.
So glad you understand and our sensitive to it.

*hugs* I only wish more people were more sensitive to that. It showed that it was a very bad thing, but still, it's too overpowering.

Now you understand the meaning of the very profane post I made about DA a couple months ago... :( I still haven't forgiven it or watched any more episodes. I'm not sure if I ever will!

Glad to hear it was good and you had a fun time! :)

Oh my gosh, that sounds too cute! <3

Yes, I understand completely! I don't blame you a bit--too far is too far, and the story crossed way over the line.

I wanted to cry for Anna and her storyline-then I wanted to hug her. I felt sorry for her and then find the guy that did that to her

Yeah, I think it's safe to say we're all crying along with Anna. :(
