Today, my first day focusing on training for the Triathlon, I didn't change much. I spent the morning getting my driver's license and vehicle registration renewed (yet two more reminders that I'm getting another year older! LOL

Walking is a great exercise especially if you've not been doing it for a while.
I'm not sure what the triathalon requires, but if you need to build strength, you may want to join a gym and see if the personal trainers there can set you up with a routine.
PS, my trainer has me doing jump rope and treadmill to get my cardio back in shape for running.
