i'm writing my thesis on Woolf at the moment (Between the Acts in particular actually), so i've spent many hours of quality time in the library with the manuscript :)

I rather think I want to be inside a painting by Reynolds or Gainsborough.

i've always adored gainsborough--the texture of the silks and ruffles in his paintings. it was amazing to see the way those scenes caught the light when i last visited the huntington and saw them in person. (sigh) i wish i could be back there right now...
