Second trimester!! Sorta. lol It's all rather confusing. A number of books or sites tell you that the second trimester begins either in week 12 or week 13. Doctor's opinion apparently differ greatly too. Mine says 12, so that's what I'm going with, despite the asterisk in my head. That little moment with the heartbeat, you should never, NEVER forget that. Sometimes I ask mom how she felt when I fist started to walk or talk (I'm not saying heartbeats because ultrasound wasn't available back then) and she says she can't remember those days anymore. It's not like she's going blank, she remembers everything but with EVERYTHING that happened with me and my sister and life basically, sometimes parents forget these things.

I hope you never forget that moment. <3

It's our imperfect human nature for memories to get fuzzy. It's really quite sad that memories fade. I know my mother remembers some moments vividly, but others I ask her about are blank.

Hearing the heartbeat, seeing our baby for the first time, was an amazing moment. I hope I never forget it. But I know there will be other moments too, the baby kicking, giving birth, firsts with the baby - I'm bound to carry some with me always
