Of course the choice will be up to you and no one else, but i kind of lean towards hospital too. Birth is something even seconds matter and I want it to go without a hitch just like you guys wish for but I think you have to be better prepared for everything. You'll be out of it for the some parts (be it with pain and/or the aftermath having a black out) but if something goes wrong, you won't be able to do anything, it'll be Eli who'll go from here to there to fix things. And a hospital has a huge support to whatever needed.

I'm type of a person who thinks about the risks and get prepared for them, so yes. I'm the party pooper. You can drink your tea and everything 2 days later, if you get what I mean rather than-something else. *knocks on wood*

But like I said, it's your body, your baby and the decision will be yours. People around you who know your life better than I do are going to give more solid advice, I'm sure.

And heartbeat! Aw! <3

There are certain safety advantages to giving birth in a hospital, I agree. The only way I could give birth at home is if the pregnancy progresses smoothly and no obvious complications arise, a medical provider won't sign off on a home birth otherwise. The Midwife is actually qualified for a lot in an emergency, should I hemorrhage or the baby has trouble breathing, she can handle all that. If while monitoring the labor, it becomes apparent I might need a c-section, I would be transferred to the hospital ( ... )
