Damon oh Damon. He thinks he´s not worthy? he´s been through hell and back for Elena and for the people he loves.

I loved the way you sort of humanized Katherine without taking away the lethality and snark because she is lethal.

I am also impressed that Elena has not ripped anyone´s throat out...yet.

You know, I'm going to be honest - there are so many stories out there about Elena being in transition and what happens when she kills her first human that I feel like those bases are covered. LOL I don't know that I have anything new to add to the idea. DaCP was always supposed to be about the circumstances that led to Elena becoming a vampire, not so much about the transition itself. The show kind of screwed me over with the finale. Now everybody is all about Elena killing people. LOL

Characterization is the hardest/most important part of a fanfic writers job, imo and I've been very concerned with Damon and Katherine in particular. I didn't want either one of the to change or lose who they were as individuals. Love softens them, but doesn't change them, so I appreciate your comments about Katherine.

You´ve done a very good job with Damon and Katherine. While their love for Elena and Stefan respectively umm...humanises them its their redemption so to speak they are still brutal killers right? Well there vampires all four are brutal killers but as individuals there still the same like you said. :)
