OMG INVITATION! \o/ THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU ARE SO AWESOME. :D
According to the AO3 site, I actually do need the URL from the invitation e-mail. Apparently I need to "click the link provided in the email to go to the account creation page". No rush - I absolutely understand that you're out and about - but when you get a chance, could you pass the link along?
