Awesome visual here - that is totally something Ed would do. And I love his reaction - "You mean there were thirty-nine of these idiots?". It's so like Ed to get the job done without quibbling about details (like how many people he's incapacitated in a sea of mud).
I like your Roy also - the right mix of calculating and genuine.
Looking foward to chatting with you when work releases me from her clutches.

Wonderful! I am very glad to hear Ed (and his solution) and Roy came out well. :D Ed is always fun to write, and Roy is interesting but ever so much more difficult so I'm happy to know that you think he sounded right.
