I was reading some peoples Lj's and i am sickened by how many people like taking back sunday, and i was also disgusted by that Laguna beach show last nite when those kids went to see blink 182, It sucks for bands to have to sell out that much. I guess it's just what MTV puts on is what people automatically like, or think is cool. It's pretty gay

Well, getting famous is the ultimate goal, is it not? To be able to present your music to a wider front by the ude of a median such as MTV of the radio. A label is what you're always looking for. True, some bands make it big and they lose their intentions but a lot of bands just get bigger because they're good. Yeah, I agree they don't need to let other people take over and right their music just to get paid more, but hell.. someone's gotta be famous.

neg. fame is not the ultimate goal, nor is landing a label. Labels cause the band to sound like all the other bands in the label. Its about having fun and playing music u like... but i guess fame is important to somepeople... who would want all that attention?

i second that opinion. but really isnt everything we do to day pretty picked apart and commercialized(sp)? *sigh* i wish i lived in the 40's!
