Doctor Who, A Christmas Carol. Written a month apart because it's taken me THAT long to stop freaking out over the series 6 trailer every time I start talking about the Christmas Special.

Personally, my favorite Christmas special is the first one (of the New Series), "The Christmas Invasion". Maybe it's because I'm such a Ten/David Tennant fangirl, I don't know.

Anyways, I did love this episode. DUMBLEDORE, come on! Michael Gambon is fucking brilliant in everything he does. Also, the space sharks and the space fishies were fabulous. I loved the whole shark sleigh ride scenes. Amazing.

The trailer looks really cool too. Although, I'm not as much of a Utah fan as you seem to be. ;)

One question - and admittedly, I probably just wasn't paying attention - but why was the blonde woman in the freezer case to begin with? I didn't quite get that.

Aww thanks, that's nice to hear. And you know, it's funny, when I wrote this I wasn't even thinking of The Christmas Invasion. I *love* that one so much, though, actually, every time I rewatch it I usually just rewatch the last 30 mins, basically from when they all get teleported onto the ship. Because I just LOVE Ten's entrance so much. I'm still such a Ten fan, don't get me wrong, but I think I love Moffat's take on Doctor Who more than RTD's, and that's kind of just making me rethink how I felt about Ten's era.

The trailer looks really cool too. Although, I'm not as much of a Utah fan as you seem to be. ;) Hah, honestly I think part of it's just the scope that shooting in Utah allows, and how beautiful the cinematography looks now that they shoot it in HD. But really, if you ever get the chance to go to the Southwest, please do! It is just so majestic in the strangest way

That trailer totally makes me want to drive around Arizona again and walk around Monument Valley again! It's such a pretty area, so it's great that I get to see my fave characters from a show I love shoot an episode at a location that I love.

Me too! I haven't been down there in ten years, I think, and I want to go back. Also, like I said above, if nothing else shooting in the Southwest (especially with their new HD cameras) gives the show such a beauty, and such a wide scope. And also -- THEY'RE ACTUALLY IN AMERICA! How cool is that!? :)
