I think Jack's just less fun when he has to be a leader and he's trying to emulate the Doctor, as compared to when he doesn't have to think too hard and just does what the Doctor says.
Yeah. Aaaand, I think that John Barrowman doesn't know how to play the straight man. He's a musical theatre guy, he's a "PERFORMER!", y'know? Anyway. I dunno, it helps that I still haven't finished watching They Keep Killing Suzie, so I don't think about it a lot and still get to enjoy him on Buzzcocks and the FNP and whatnot.

Your Blur top5 list is awesome. I really think you've chosen things that are sublime, and your #1 is definitely the same as mine. I fucking love Essex Dogs and Battle. Alex said at his book reading thingo last year that ED was one of his favourite things Blur had ever done.
