GUYS.

I have this little tradition. Alas, that is not Simon Pegg, but Rik Mayall playing Lord Flashheart in Blackadder. He is wearing a hilariously horrible wig, so it's easy to get confused. :D

I knew it couldn't be the Pegg, but the look on his face was so...Peggian. Then you used it to comment on this post so I got confused again.

I haven't *really* watched Black Adder in years, but for some reason I remember Flashheart in series four and not from the second. Which could explain why the costume threw me off. ;)

I've been trying to convince my friends to watch SotD for years to no avail. My next plan is to drug them all, tie their arms and legs to chairs and press play as soon as they wake up.

...I didn't like Shaun of the Dead. Didn't hate it, mind you, but I didn't think it was anything other than mildly amusing. I mean, I get WHY it's supposed to be oh so funny, it just doesn't do it for me. AT ALL. [But then, nothing from the newish British comic wave does, so there's that.]

Hey, fair play! At least you've seen it. I just get annoyed when my friends see movies that I've been bugging them to see forever and they're like, "Why did no one ever tell me to see this?"

I'm sure you know what that's like. :)

Well, I try to give everything a fair chance before I get judgmental. *g* I mean, there are quite a few movies/TV shows that I'll stamp with the "didn't see it and didn't like it" label, but that's mostly related to the people involved in them than with genre or cult status or fandom pandering.

And I do know what it's like. I've finally succeed in getting a couple of friends to watch Farscape after FIVE YEARS trying.
