Hi. Um, Bear McCreary either scored the trailer for Little Children [speaking of which, OMGFINALLY!], or some composer really really likes Passacaglia.

IMDb says the film's scored by Thomas Newman. [!!!] But that says nothing about the trailer.

Also, according accidentally to tonight's The Office, there are a lot of eucalyptus in Pennsylvania.

the office, little children, audiophilia

You don't use eucalyptus for making paper? That's what we use here, because they grow so fast, and I've been told many many times that eucalyptus fiber is the best for paper-making. Though maybe that's a Brazilian technology thing and I just assumed it was the same everywhere.

They're great for reforestation too [re: grow fast]. The roadside from here to my hometown is PACKED with replanted eucalyptus. Actually, most of the South/Southeast Brazilian cost is.

Oh my god, no. Hee. I'm just amused because there are BUTTLOADS of eucalyptus in California, where The Office is filmed. They're leftovers from the Australians who came for the gold rush in 1849 and they've taken over everything. The sun sets a good hour [?] earlier at my house because of all the eucalyptus on our hill.

However, outside of California? No eucalyptus. Maybe in Oregon, IIRC, but in New England, haaa.

It was just one of those, "Oh, silly television series filming in California pretending to be a completely different climate" moments.

But as for paper production...that's really smart. Can't believe I've never heard of it. Hey, I'll try to suggest that to Pacific Lumber company next time they try to chop down a sequoia forest. ;)

Oooh, I don't know! This one seemed to be new, they played it during the showing of Grey's Anatomy on thursday night. I haven't seen the other one, though.

[But seriously, it was eerily Bear McCreary-y.]
