Things No One Told Me, Being A List:

- Not only was Thom Yorke's Black Swan featured over the credits of A Scanner Darkly [I knew that, I'm not dumb], but Radiohead had FOUR songs in the film: Fog, PULK/PULL MOTHERFUCKING REVOLVING DOORS --er, that's not the name of the song but more my expression of holy fuck, Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors was in a ( Read more... )

I still haven't managed to see A Scanner Darkly! It didn't come to any of the theatres around here. Was it good?

Heh. As usual I didn't explain myself correctly...and, wow, I'm re-reading what I wrote and it really seems like I just watched it.

I still haven't seen the movie. Rather, a few minutes ago I saw on Last.fm someone mentioning that Cymbal Rush was in it, and wtf-ed since I had only heard that Black Swan was over the credits, so I Googled. And discovered this Wikipedia page which put me in the know.

So basically...now I want to see it even more. *g*

Hopefully it'll be out on DVD soonish! I still wish Radiohead (or at least Jonny!) had actually scored the film. That would have been quite interesting.

Yeah, that would have been very cool! I knew they "rejected" the offer, but I still wonder what the reasons were; the movie sounds right up their alley. Probably timing issues, I expect.

Oh no! Cool news like the Jenna and John appearance should somehow be beamed into people's brains instead of leaving it up to chance. I'm hardly ever "in the know" and I'm sad that you aren't either.

Seriously. I feel like I always get in the know about these things...right after they happen. But this, it's not like the VM cast thing at Macy's I missed two years ago, or the Tim Burton thing back in April...this time there was NOTHING that would have stopped MY BEING THERE. Except the fact that I didn't know about it.

Hrrmph.

I was going to mention the Tim Burton thing! I would have gone to that except I was sick, went to bed early, didn't find out until the morning of, and you know, a 4-ish hour bus ride is a lot to undertake on such short notice.

There should be a "Things You Might Be Interested In" newsletter sent out every week. That would be amazing.

I saw A Scanner Darkly this past Saturday and that was my exact reaction. I was a little blinded by the looks of it and the music and didn't pay as much attention to the story as I should have, but AWESOME. That Four Tet remix is perfection.
