Okay. There are not many things that piss me off. [Says everyone who knows Eve, "Yeah, sure."]

Shut up.

But everyone who watches ALIAS should go read this post by corngirl_jo where she speaks about 'Blood Ties'. [Is this blood? Am I real? Wait, ooops. Wrong fandom ( Read more... )

Someday, I still want to detail my big issue with BtVS season six. To put it simply: they abruptly changed plots post-Tabula Rasa, and so late that my newspaper's TV Week gave me different episode descriptions for Smashed and Wrecked

Well, that explains a lot. Specifically, why Buffy and Spike's characterizations swing so abruptly from one episode to another after that. Though it does mean I have to make a few minor corrections in my latest theory. Doesn't screw it up though - everything's clicking into place now. I think this last bit of information officially ends my season 6 issues. (Nice to know I'm not the only one still trying to wrap those after 2 years. *G*)

Read my S/B ficathon fic, bitches!

Trying to - am behind on everything. Though if we're doing the shameless pimpage thing (:P) did you know I have a new site?

Oh wow. I just read the 'Seeing Red' essay you linked to, and I agree wholeheartedly. I have learned to forgive almost every Jossverse writer -- except for Marti Noxon. And it all boils down to the fact that she just threw the idea for the attempted rape into the script barely a week before it went out. That screams of the Alias scripting technique that I meantioned in this post.

But as much as I thematically love S6 [well, in a certain sense], the fact remains that, like you said, it just swung back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and I didn't know what the writers were trying to say. And back in 2001 on the Buffy Cross & Stake, when we first learned that they were shifting the plot, the visible excitement that almost everyone had about the upcoming season just kinda got...confused. Everyone was commenting on the HUGE change between Tabula Rasa and Smashed. Gah. Apparently my S6 issues are still loud and roudy. I still have to do what I've always meant to do and objectively analyze Buffy's actions and ( ... )

To put it simply: they abruptly changed plots post-Tabula Rasa, and so late that my newspaper's TV Week gave me different episode descriptions for Smashed and Wrecked. It is things like these that make me question the sanity of paid writing teams.They did? I've never heard of that before. I'm trying to think what they changed. Please don't tell me Spuffy sex 4eva wasn't in the original plans. ;) I've always thought they should have spruced something up about Buffy's resurrection and living pains instead of letting it fall to the cellular burn back-burner of my not making any sense anymore ( ... )

It sucketh mightily, because for some reason in S6/S3 I started cutting out the TV Week write-ups about BtVS and AtS...but upon looking, turns out I didn't cut out the 'Smashed' or 'Wrecked' ones ( ... )

I'm pretty sure the S/B was still mightily there, because B-S-D formed a pretty tight bond...against Willow, who was kicked out and went evil at episode 13, which was when Tara was to be killed. There was no magic crack. It was going to be the PERFECT season, and then they chickened out. Gah.

Why, ME, why? ::sob:: That would have been the perfect season.

::cries::
