Oh, I hope you have as good a time as I did! It was absolutely amazing -- and I was much closer this time.

He played a bunch of songs off Reality, and 'Cactus,' opened up with 'Rebel Rebel,' and played a bunch of other classics: 'Heroes,' 'The Man Who Sold The World,' 'Fame,' 'All the young dudes,' 'I'm Afraid of Americans,' 'Ziggy Stardust' and way more. I wish I had written the set list down. Ooh! He also covered a Neil Young song, 'I'm Waiting For You.'

Check out the visuals on the screen behind him. Very beautiful and even trippy at times.

The icon you're using is amazing. Where the hell did all those colors come from? Gorgeous!

Yeah. I made it the middle of last night...I didn't really realize until today that the original cap is essentially blue, and somehow the icon turned out all yellow and green and brown.

Anyway, thanks so much!

I should be insanely jealous, but I'll just be insanely happy for you. There. What? I can do that. I can! *g*

Also? OH MY GOD, Eve, that is one incredibly beautiful icon! And peeeeerfect quote! :-)

::doesn't have a Bowie icon either, but has the closest thing to it:: *g*

Whee! I'm insanely happy for me too. ;)

And actually, I made the icon while half asleep after I got back from the concert. It was weird. I think I do my best work in the middle of the night. I originally meant to use the DT alley scene -- it goes more with the ironic meaning of the phrase and the song's emotions -- but this one works too. I'll probably end up making 10 of them with the same quote. ;)

I'm really surprised too. I had no idea of all the colors I brought out of that cap. Now looking at it reminds me that it's the same set as the basements [well, *all* of them] and it gives a whole new connotation.

Oh! Thanks! Do you have the song? You gotta have the song. It's "The Union Forever" by The White Stripes and it's been my S/B angsty song since s6. I meant to put the text on an angstier image, but this seems to work as well.

Sigh. I do not have the song. Well, actually, I do, but White Blood Cells is currently somewhere under a laundry pile. Or hiding in a drawer.

No mad organizational skillz here.

Now I really want to find the CD, because I've never associated the song with S/B angst. Well, except for the "there is no true love." And, "What would I liked to have been? Everything you hate." And "the cost no man can say." And...everything.

GAH! I must find the CD!

But really, yes. It is a beautiful icon. :)

Oh man. You have no idea how much that entire album *IS* season six S/B for me. It came out right around Gone and I listened to it constantly throughout those months.

You must find it! Then I can tell you all of the other S/B paralells!
