I hadn't heard about Jared or John R-M (velvet goldmine *combusts*) but I had heard that Joaquin Phoenix was playing the part now. Is that not true? Because seriously Joaquin/Colin? HOTTTTTTTT.

AAAHHH! I've fallen in love with Colin Farrell last month and have been checking every possible news/spoilers about Alexander ever since. Found nothing uterly interesting, thought. But I so cannot wait. Plus the director being Oliver Stone, I'm expecting very very good things.

I actually think you're right -- Leto plays the character that is Alexander's semi-love interest [or however they're going to play it], if what I've heard is correct.
